Milonga: Cuando un Viejo se Enamora

Dancer, actress, and choreographer, Argentine-born, Paris-based Silvina Valz is one of the young great tango dancers whose dance incorporates elements from all styles of tango. Her footwork is as good as you will ever see.

She creates a dance within a dance, and performs with the old masters as well as with the young stars of tango. Her style is a combination of femininity and grace with a consciousness of movement, a deep understanding of tango code, and a great interpretation of the music.

Tango: Milonguero Viejo

Silvina studied classical ballet, modern jazz and tango in Buenos Aires, where she also won several medals in acrobatics and artistic gymnastics. She has been living for many years in Paris, where she has brought up a few generations of tangueros some of whom became outstanding European dancers. Besides teaching regular classes at tango centers in Paris and workshops throughout Europe, she also works as choreographer and production assistant at the Theatre National Antoine Vitez and teaches tango to blind young people at the L'Institut National des Aveugles.

Milonga: Ella es Asi

Silvina teaches numerous workshops in the U.S. and has been guest instructor at Seatte's Tango Magic 2005 and 2006 and at Portland's Tango Fest 2006, as well as in other prominent U.S. tango festivals.

Professionals highly value her creativity, femininity, sensitivity, her sensuality while dancing and a great precision of each movement or gesture. She teaches with passion in a meticulous way making the movement be the expression of an inner feeling.

Silvina is a warm and cordial kind of person, and a very experienced teacher. You will be glad to have taken classes from her.
