Alex final pose

Alex Krebs, one of North America's most gifted teachers and tangueros, has been enchanting dancers throughout North America, Europe and Buenos Aires. He has received rave reviews for his teaching in Germany, Italy, Great Britain, Sweden and across the United States. He is a creative improviser and has performed internationally with some of tango's most talented female dancers.

Tango Berretín, Alex's studio in Portland, Oregon, is renowned for both its classes and its milongas. It is a popular destination for dancers from Alaska to the east coast. Alex plays the bandoneón and directs the tango band "Conjunto Berretín."

Alex  teaches Argentine tango for the social dance floor, emphasizing the improvisational aspects of the dance, a strong connection between lead and follow, musicality, and floorcraft. He tries to give his students the vocabulary necessary so that each person can find their own unique way of dancing - dancing the tango of their own body.

In his upcoming workshops in Bend, Alex will be offering one of his specialties,  musicality, which was a tremendous sensation last year in Vancouver and Minneapolis. Alex is amongst only a few handfuls of folks in the U.S. (and there aren't too many in the world) who play the bandoneón. Try not to miss this extraordinary workshop!
